Lead Alternative Self Adhesive Flashing Roll 5m x 450mm

Solar Lead is a self-adhesive, lead alternative flashing product that can be installed in lengths of up to 5 metres long without a joint. Perfect for solar installations and general flashing repairs.

Solar Lead is 2.5mm thick with a reinforced aluminium mesh, perfect for flashing over profiles. It is lightweight and provides a secure watertight seal for your roof. It can be used for a range of applications including solar panel installations, external abutment joints, chimneys flashings and facades.

Installation:

Ensure the surface is dry and free from dust and surface contaminants. Apply by gradually removing the release paper to expose the high-tack, self-adhesive backing. For best results apply at temperatures greater than 5oc.

The self-adhesive, butyl layer is specially designed to adhere to porous surfaces. It is best to use a butyl primer when applying to very smooth surfaces (metal roof or coated tiles) as this will increase the adhesion strength. Secure joints with a minimum 80mm lap.

After application the material is formed with a lead bossing mallet or a rubber hammer and sealed with a roller.
