Established in 1985; 40 years on and the Confederation of Roofing Contractors [CORC], is now the most respected and widely known Roofing Trade Association within the UK.
The brainchild of Allan Buchen, who still sits at his desk today. His idea was to promote excellence and professionalism within his beloved industry. At a time, before the internet when the Yellow Pages ruled the roost, Allan recognised the need for a body that supported the contractor in an increasingly demanding world, whilst providing members’ customers with the confidence that they required when engage member services.
40 years on and the CORC is a vastly more complete body than when it first opened its doors. Enhanced member vetting ensures competence whilst insurance guarantees provide member clients with peace-of-mind. Furthermore, technical, health & safety, legal, even general supporting advice, are now all part of the CORC’s portfolio.
